Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is anticipated to launch several tablets in China this year. One among these offerings is expected to be a gaming-focused tablet in a compact size.
A new leak now shares some details about three key specifications and the launch timeframe of this upcoming Redmi Gaming tablet.
Expected Specifications of the Redmi Gaming Tablet
The Weibo post by Digital Chat Station reveals the processor, display, and design of the tablet. However, it must be kept in mind that none of these have been confirmed by the manufacturer at the moment.
The gaming tablet will house a Dimensity 9400+ chipset from MediaTek under its hood. This will be an overclocked Dimensity 9400 processor and help the device deliver an excellent and aggressive gaming experience. The D9400 has an eight-core configuration with one powerful Cortex-X4core featuring a clocking frequency of 3.63 GHz. The other seven cores are four Cortex-A720 cores and three Cortex-X4 cores.

For the display, the tablet will have an LED panel of 8.8 inches in size. While no more details are known for now, the leak hints that the screen will incorporate a customized high refresh rate.
In terms of design, the device will have a thin and ultra-light metal that gives it a sleek and compact design. The metal body adds to its durability. The lightweight profile will allow users to enjoy their favorite games for long hours at a stretch or continuously without experiencing pain or discomfort in their hands.
The same post reveals that the Redmi gaming tablet will be launched in the third quarter of this year. A reply by the tipster to a comment to the post suggests that the device will break cover in the first half of the third quarter of 2025.
