
While various details have come up in the past about Samsung’s flagship and mid-range offerings, the manufacturer is reported to be working on including two rugged devices.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 6 Pro and Galaxy Xcover 8 Pro are the two devices. The Tab Active and Xcover series are specifically designed to meet users’ requirements in industrial and fieldwork environments. Their ruggedness and durability make them capable of withstanding harsh environments.
Galaxy Tab Active 6 Pro
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 6 Pro is slated to arrive as the successor to the Tab Active 5 that launched this year. As far as the Tab Active series is concerned, Samsung is known to alternate the release of the standard and Pro variants every year. The Tab Active series is known for its MIL-STD-810 certification and IP 68 water and dust resistance.

Although its exact details are unknown at the moment, the rugged tablet is slated to feature enhanced screen technology and improved durability along with a sturdy battery supporting swappable options. Like its predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 6 Pro device is anticipated to offer support for the manufacturer’s S Pen and offer various productive features.
Galaxy Xcover 8 Pro
The Xcover 8 Pro has been assigned the model number SM-G766B and is expected to surpass its predecessor in terms of performance and durability. The standard Xcover series was introduced by Samsung way back in 2011 while the Pro variant made its debut in 2020. Both the standard and Pro models are characterized by dust and water resistance, reinforced construction, and military-grade certifications.
While the specifications are still unclear, the smartphone is slated to offer 5G connectivity, more battery life, and improved processing power.
There is no information about the release timeframe of the Galaxy Tab Active 8 Pro. However, sources mention that the Galaxy Xcover 8 Pro is slated for a mid-2025 release.
