
Despite the update rolled out on February 20, one still comes across technical issues and bugs in the game.
Recently, one heard about The Sims 1 Legacy Collection suffering from crashes and other technical issues. This started happening the latest update of the game was launched by Electronic Arts on February 20. Though some of the issues have been fixed, players continue to witness crashes.
The announcement about The Sims and The Sims 2 re-releasing as The Sims Legacy Collection and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection created a lot of excitement among fans. Along with the base games, this collection was supposed to feature DLC content as well.

After The Sims 1 Legacy Collection games came out, the response of the community was not as enthusiastic as one would have expected to. After the launch, a large number of players started coming across issues and reporting them on Steam. Along with game crashes, players complained about visual glitches, corrupted saves and progression bugs. Once the game came out on January 31, several updates were rolled out. However, it is now clear that many of the issues continue to be around.
After the launch of the fourth update of the game, fans headed to the Steam forum post featuring the patch notes and vented out their frustration and expressed their disappointment over the persistent issues in The Sims Legacy Collection. While some players continue to struggle to load DLC, the 16:9 ratio does not work on all occasions. A bunch of players have also flagged UI scaling issues in 1080p which creates an adverse impact on in-game text. While fans appreciate the fact that some of the crashing issues have been fixed, they continue to experience a variety of other issues after loading the game.
To put it simply, the latest update for The Sims Legacy Collection has failed to bring relief for gamers who had been grappling with many of the issues with it.

If one goes by the patch notes, EA is aware of the issues and is working towards fixing them. Based on this, one can assume that many more updates and bug fixes will be rolled out in the near future.
On Steam, The Sims 1 Legacy Collection and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection are available for $19.99 and $29.99 respectively. Initially, there was not much of a discussion around the pricing of these titles. However, with the emergence of the bugs, fans have started questioning these prices and wondering whether these are justified.
